Jersey City CC defeated Ali Sports Club at Branch Brook on a beautiful day for cricket..winning the toss and batting on a hard pitch. Stephen Sookram and Tony Deonarine started off well and got JCCC going. Howver Stephen was adjudged LBW and Vishal Patel came to crease, one of the many young and talented JCCC cricketer. Vishal played some attaching strokes and was out for a well played 15. Ravi Sukhai join Tony D. and build a strong foundation, Tony was out for well played 37..and brief appearances by Salim K., and Richard B., Jersey City saw one of NJCA best young all-rounder Keval Bassit step up to the crease and put on a show for the boyz..with Ravi playing the steady role, Keval was on the attack and put together a long partnership. Ravi ended with 62 runs and Keval B. not out knock of 60 runs was decorated with quite a few six and fours..in the bushes...Ali took to the crease and found a aggressive Marlon K. who got off to quick started and had the JCCC boys a bit nervous but..with the Captain, Adrian Rahim leading the way, Marlon was cleaned bowl by Adrian and soon Ali wickets came on a regular interval..Q. Hossein played a nice innings for Ali and ended with 54 runs..As for JCCC bowling...it was off day for the boys per the captain with over 32 wides and numerous "gift" delivery..they JCCC blowing will need to be tight for the upcoming matches against NJCC, Tropical & Pak-Am(pending Appeal)...Adrian finish with four wickets..follow by the game MVP Kevel Bassit 3 wickets and always reliable Lashley Leonard with one wicket and Salim K. with one...
